No Stress for the Van Gogh Museum
Safety Is Paramount for Valuable Cargo
The nature of the shipments makes the transport process more complex than what is typical. It is a welcome challenge for the TFF team.
Peter Vogler: ‘We send valuable 3D replicas and other important items to our pop-up stores. During transport, extra care must be taken when handling these shipments. It is also very time sensitive, which makes our shipments even more complex.’
At TFF, safety is paramount during this type of valuable transport. Thanks to our many years of experience, we know what we need to pay extra attention to. This enables us to support the Van Gogh Museum and alleviate its concerns.
A Partner That Works With You and Takes the Weight Off Your Shoulders
The type of transport that best suits our customer’s needs depends on a number of factors. For the Van Gogh Museum we ultimately opted for a combination of air freight and our Express Service. This allowed the museum to benefit from the advantages of both forms of transport.
Peter Vogler: ‘At TFF, I can find all types of transport under one roof. I’ve been in contact with Jaap Theo and Pieter a lot. I gave them the freedom to come up with good solutions, just as long as my shipments arrived in the right place at the right time. That was quite the challenge in the case of the US. But it was no problem for Jaap Theo and his team. They thought about the best airport to use, knew the complex local regulations and tackled difficult issues head on. They were always one step ahead of any issues. The open communication with the team was also fantastic. It really made me feel like a weight was being lifted from my shoulders. We meet up and look into how we can collaborate more. That’s how they end up brainstorming about topics like warehousing. I have all the faith in the world in them.’
