## Shipping biological materials internationally

The hospital deals with special and sensitive shipments, making the choice of the right logistics partner crucial. Since 2019, TFF has provided the UMCG with exactly what is needed.

Jannes Stokker (UMCG): “Our shipments go all over the world. This includes important documents, but also biological materials such as blood and human tissue. There’s quite a lot involved in transporting these. For example, proper packaging is essential. We also require transportation with dry ice to keep the temperature at -80°C. Over the past period, TFF has proven to be a valuable partner for these types of shipments for the UMCG.”

## Short communication lines and proactive monitoring

These types of shipments are often sent by air freight from Schiphol. A courier from Groningen first delivers the shipment to the airport. Everything must be carefully coordinated to ensure smooth connections.
